CaliTrlolz declares his final LCS split

Star Player CaliTrolz Announces Retirement from League Championship Series

Steven “CaliTrolz” Kim, a star player on a League Championship Series (LCS) team, has announced that he will not be returning for another season. In a recent tweet, Kim stated that the last two games of this season’s LCS will be his last. This announcement did not come as a surprise to many, as Kim was admitted to a top pharmacy school before the season started and applied for a one-year leave of absence to continue playing in the LCS. This leave of absence is now coming to an end.

A Rollercoaster Season for Team 8

This season has been an up-and-down one for Team 8. Despite initial predictions of relegation, the team surprised many by challenging for a playoff spot. They finished with a 9-9 record, just missing out on the playoffs due to a tiebreaker loss to Team Liquid. However, this season has not gone as well for Team 8, as they currently have a 6-10 record and have already been eliminated from playoff contention. They still have two games left to play against Team Liquid and Counter Logic Gaming, and there is a chance they could fall into relegation. If that happens, Kim has stated that he will play with the team in a relegation series.

The Impact of CaliTrolz

As a player, Kim will certainly be missed. He was known for his aggressive playstyle and unpredictable champion pool, making him a tough opponent for other teams. His Irelia was one of the most feared champions in the LCS, often drawing bans in every match. Although his performance this season hasn’t matched the hype surrounding him at the start of the year, Kim has still had a solid year in the LCS. He led the league in kills from the top lane during the Spring Split and has posted solid stats throughout the season. Fans have shown their support for Kim despite his disappointing season, and he expressed his gratitude for their continued support.

An Uncertain Future

While Kim has not confirmed whether he will return to school at the end of the season, it seems likely that this is his reason for leaving the LCS. He plans to discuss his decision in more depth in the future, possibly after Team 8’s future in the LCS is secured. Kim acknowledged that he was not satisfied with his results as a professional gamer and hopes to finish his career on a high note.

With only two games left in the LCS, Kim aims to make these games his best. While he may have no regrets about his decision to retire, his fans will surely be sad to see him leave the Summoner’s Rift for good.
