Caitlyn Claims Top Spot in ADC Rankings
Caitlyn, one of the oldest and most beloved champions in League of Legends, has risen to the top of the solo queue rankings in the latest patch. With recent buffs to her attack damage and movement speed, Caitlyn has claimed the No. 1 spot in the ADC position, boasting an impressive 52-percent win rate.
Caitlyn’s Presence in Pro Play
Caitlyn has also made appearances in professional play, featuring in both North America’s LCS and Europe’s LEC. While she has yet to establish herself as a dominant pick, with Worlds 2020 approaching, there is potential for her to make a lasting impact in the competitive scene.
Caitlyn’s Popularity in the LCS
Since Patch 10.15, Caitlyn has experienced a staggering 90-percent pick or ban rate in the LCS, putting her on par with popular champions like Karma, Sett, Volibear, and Olaf.
Enhanced Mobility and Untouchability
Riot’s buffs to Caitlyn’s attack damage and movement speed have significantly improved her gameplay. As the longest-ranged ADC in League of Legends, Caitlyn’s role is to deal damage and harass from a safe distance. With the increased movement speed, she has become even more untouchable, with the ability to escape, reposition, and chase down opponents in skirmishes and teamfights.
It remains to be seen whether Riot will intervene and adjust Caitlyn’s power level with potential nerfs, but for now, players will have to adapt to her dominance in the ADC position.
