Caedrel steps down as LEC shoutcaster to pursue new ventures

Marc Robert “Caedrel” Lamont Retires from LEC Casting to Focus on Streaming

Former professional League of Legends player Marc Robert “Caedrel” Lamont has announced his retirement from the LEC broadcast team to pursue a full-time streaming career. Caedrel, known for his witty comments and insightful analysis, revealed on social media that the stress and exhaustion of balancing casting and streaming led to his decision.

In a heartfelt tweet, Caedrel expressed his gratitude for his time as a caster and his growth in unleashing his passion for the game. However, he acknowledged the toll it took on his personal life and work in both areas. He admitted, “Juggling being a caster and a streamer has become too much.”

Although Caedrel won’t be a permanent fixture on the LEC broadcast team going forward, he assured fans that he will occasionally appear as a guest. In the meantime, he will be dedicated to streaming, starting with co-streaming duties for the upcoming 2023 World Championship in South Korea.

Continued Impact as a Streamer

Since retiring from professional play, Caedrel has successfully established himself as a popular League of Legends streamer. He has co-streamed various leagues, including the LEC, LCK, and LCS, and has been chosen by Riot Games to provide English-speaking streams for the EMEA region during tournaments.

While his absence will be felt on the casting desk, fans can still enjoy Caedrel’s entertaining commentary on his personal stream. Don’t miss out on his gaming insights and humor by tuning into his Twitch channel, especially during the upcoming major League of Legends tournament next month.
