Bwipo Achieves Top 100 Rank in Chinese Super Server: A Milestone for Western League Player

The 2020 World Championship: Western Player Bwipo Climbs to Top 100 in Chinese Solo Queue

The highly anticipated 2020 World Championship is just around the corner, and teams and players have already made their way to Shanghai to engage in some vital solo queue practice before the tournament.

In an impressive feat, Fnatic’s star top laner Bwipo has become the first Western player to reach the top 100 in the super server of the Chinese League of Legends ranked ladder.

According to LoLVVV, Bwipo currently holds the rank of 92 on the server with an astonishing 934 LP in Challenger. LEC representative Caps follows closely in second place with 868 LP, while fellow Fnatic teammate MagiFelix sits at 796 LP. TSM’s substitute support Treatz secures the fourth spot with 756 LP, and Team Liquid’s star support CoreJJ claims fifth place with 676 LP.

Bwipo’s achievement is particularly noteworthy considering Fnatic’s early arrival in China on Sept. 8. China’s solo queue environment is widely regarded as one of the most competitive in the world, with players approaching the game with a greater level of seriousness.

While Bwipo’s quick climb is impressive, it is important to note that he has likely put in numerous hours of practice for Worlds, giving him more opportunities to climb compared to players who may not be dedicating as much time to solo queue.

For instance, players like JD Gaming’s Kanavi and LGD Gaming’s Peanut are currently ranked in Platinum, suggesting that they may not have even played a game on their accounts in China.

Nevertheless, reaching the top 100 in the Chinese region’s solo queue is an arduous task for any player. It will be intriguing to see if other players can achieve a similar feat before the World Championship commences on Friday, Sept. 25.
