Busio awarded Most Valuable Prospect of the 2022 LCS Academy Summer Split

100 Thieves Academy’s Busio Named Most Valuable Prospect for LCS NA Academy Summer Split

Busio, the rising star in the League of Legends scene and support player for 100 Thieves Academy, has been recognized as the Most Valuable Prospect in the LCS NA Academy 2022 Summer Split.

Since joining the scene in 2018, 100 Thieves has established itself as a strong organization for developing LCS and North American talent.

Busio’s achievement highlights the success of 100 Thieves’ development program. He expressed his gratitude to his teammates, supporters, and everyone who contributed to his success on Twitter, stating that it’s only the beginning for him.

100 Thieves Academy secured second place in the NA Academy 2022 Summer Split, with a series record of 8–7–3 and an individual games record of 23–13.

Busio started his competitive League journey as a mid laner for Polar Ace before landing a spot as the starting support for 100 Thieves Next. In July 2022, he was promoted to the Academy team, showcasing his growth within the organization.

Busio emphasized his potential and growth in the support role, setting his sights on becoming a top-tier LCS support player within the next couple of years.

Unfortunately, 100 Thieves Academy’s season has come to an end after a 3–1 series loss to Team Liquid Academy in the LCS Proving Grounds Summer tournament, resulting in a fourth-place finish. They will now watch as either Liquid Academy, Cloud9 Academy, or Dignitas Academy claims the LCS Proving Grounds Summer championship.

The decisive match between TL Academy and C9 Academy will take place today at 6 pm ET, with the winner advancing to face Dignitas Academy in the LCS developmental decider.
