Business Maverick Mark Cuban Explores Esports, Participates in Exciting League of Legends Showmatch at IEM San Jose

Mark Cuban shows his love for esports at IEM San Jose

Last night, Mark Cuban, owner of the Dallas Mavericks basketball team and a regular on Shark Tank, played a charity showmatch in League of Legends at IEM San Jose. In an interview before the match, Cuban hinted at his future involvement in esports and called out sports media personality Colin Cowherd for his negative views on gaming.

Cuban’s team dominated the match, with professional players such as Voyboy, Reginald, Meteos, and Doublelift by his side. Cuban expressed his love for the game, calling it a real sport that requires intelligence and quick reflexes.

Intel CEO Brian Krzanich had a team of his own, including Hai, HotshotGG, Bjergsen, and Chauster, to face off against Cuban’s team.

During the interview, Cuban dropped an f-bomb, earning himself a $15,000 fine. Being worth an estimated $3 billion, he decided to drop another f-bomb, adding another $15,000 to the charity donation.

Cuban is not new to the esports scene, as he was an early investor in esports startup Unikrn.
