Broxah announces a break from competitive League of Legends, plans to focus on streaming in 2022

League of Legends Veteran Broxah Shifts Focus to Full-Time Streaming

One of the longest-standing players in professional League of Legends is taking a step back from competitive play this year to showcase his skills through full-time streaming.

Mads “Broxah” Brock-Pederson, former jungler for renowned teams such as Fnatic, Team Liquid, and CLG, revealed on his Twitch stream today that he will not be competing professionally in 2022. Instead, he has set his sights on climbing the ranked ladder in League of Legends through streaming from his home in Denmark.

In a detailed message posted on Twitter, Broxah explained that he had opportunities to continue his professional career in both the LCS and LEC this year. However, after feeling “worn out and underwhelmed” by the available options, he decided to take a break and focus on himself. He believes this time away will reignite his passion as he reflects on his contributions to past teams and explores new opportunities.

With a strong presence in both the LCS and LEC, Broxah has built a significant following through his consistent success in both regions. As a jungler for Fnatic, he played a pivotal role in the team’s victories across multiple splits, including their appearance at Worlds in 2019. During his time as Liquid’s jungler in 2020, Broxah secured the top spot in the Summer Split, finishing third in the Summer Playoffs and qualifying for Worlds. However, his tenure with CLG in the previous year proved challenging as he struggled to replicate his past accomplishments.

Despite the circumstances, Broxah believes that this time away from the main stage will contribute to his personal growth as a player. He hopes that his fans will continue to support him in this new endeavor, stating, “For the time being, I’m excited to take on this challenge and give it my all.”
