Blitzcrank’s buffs in League of Legends may thrust him into the top lane and jungle

Blitzcrank Gets Buffed: Changes Coming to League of Legends

Blitzcrank, also known as the Great Steam Golem, is one of the original champions in League of Legends. His Rocket Grab ability has made him a valuable asset to any teamcomp, known for his pick potential. And now, more changes are on the way for Blitzcrank.

Riot has been carefully buffing Blitzcrank since Patch 12.12, as direct buffs tend to make him overpowering. On September 20th, Riot introduced a series of drastic changes to Blitzcrank that have brought him to the top lane and jungle. These changes include buffs to base attack speed and base attack speed ratio, a new effect on Overdrive that deals on-hit magic damage equal to one percent of the target’s max health, additional damage to non-champions, increased damage on his Power Fist ability against non-champions, and improved AP scaling on his ultimate ability, Static Field.

While the goal of these buffs is to make Blitzcrank viable in the top lane and jungle, it remains uncertain whether Blitzcrank will find success in the solo lane. However, this presents an excellent opportunity to diversify and enhance Blitzcrank’s playstyle, which has remained relatively unchanged since the release of League of Legends.

For the complete list of changes, you can check them out here or test them yourself on the PBE.
