Bjergsen Named Best Player in NA League’s History: A Celebratory Top-10 List

The LCS is celebrating its 10th season by honoring the top 10 players in its history. On top of the list is Bjergsen from Team Liquid, who was voted as the best player in the first 10 years of the LCS by a panel of experts.

Bjergsen joined the LCS in 2014 with TSM and has been a part of almost every season since then. In 2021, he took a break from playing to coach TSM’s LCS team before leaving the organization. With TSM, Bjergsen won six LCS titles and led them to the quarterfinals of the World Championship in 2014.

This season, Bjergsen came close to qualifying for Worlds with Liquid, falling just one game short.

The Top 10 LCS Players of All Time

Following Bjergsen on the all-time list is Doublelift, one of his former TSM teammates. Doublelift won eight LCS titles between 2015 and 2020, missing out on a title in just three splits during that time.

The top five players on the list are completed by Impact from EG, Xmithie who previously played for Liquid, and Jensen from Cloud9.

A total of six active players and four retired players made it to the top 10 list. The retired players include Hai and Sneaky from C9, Doublelift, and Xmithie.

The list was curated over the past few months and was released ahead of the LCS Championship finals that will take place this weekend. The Summer Split playoff bracket will conclude on September 11 when the next champion is crowned.

C9 has already secured a spot in the grand finals after a dominant run in the playoffs’ upper bracket. Evil Geniuses and 100 Thieves will compete on September 10 to determine who will face C9 in the finals.
