Bjergsen Ends 2022 LCS Spring Split with Highest KDA of 8.9

Team Liquid’s Bjergsen Tops KDA Leaderboard in 2022 LCS Spring Split

The 2022 LCS Spring Split concluded yesterday, and Bjergsen from Team Liquid emerged as the leader of the league’s KDA leaderboard. After a full season away since the summer of 2020, Bjergsen made a powerful comeback with an impressive KDA of 8.9 across the 18-game split, according to League of Legends stats site Oracle’s Elixir.

This split’s KDA of 8.9 is the highest Bjergsen has achieved in a single split throughout his nine-year career. It surpasses the KDA of 8.5 he attained during the 2018 Spring Split.

Bjergsen’s remarkable KDA is largely attributed to his exceptional ability to stay alive. He only experienced 21 deaths in 18 games, averaging just 1.16 deaths per game. This is the lowest among all qualified LCS players this spring.

In addition to Bjergsen, two other Team Liquid players, Santorin and CoreJJ, secured top-three rankings for overall KDA this spring with scores of 6.1 and 6.0, respectively. Among mid laners, the highest KDA, after Bjergsen, belonged to Cloud9’s Fudge, who finished his debut split in the position with a KDA of 5.8.

Beyond the LCS, Bjergsen also achieved the second-highest KDA among all qualified regular season participants across League of Legends’ four major regions. His KDA of 8.9 surpassed the KDA leaders in the LPL and LCK, Light (7.8) and Chovy (8.2), respectively. The only player with a higher KDA this spring was Upset from Fnatic, who set a record with a remarkable 16.5 KDA.

Looking ahead, Bjergsen and top-seeded Team Liquid will face Evil Geniuses in the first-round playoff match on April 3rd.
