Bilibili Gaming hires ex-T1 head coach Kim

Former T1 Coach Kim Jeong-soo Joins LPL’s Bilibili Gaming

Kim Jeong-soo, the former head coach of T1, has found a new home with the LPL’s Bilibili Gaming, as announced by the organization today.

New Head Coach for Bilibili Gaming

Kim Jeong-soo will be taking on the role of head coach at Bilibili Gaming for the upcoming League of Legends season. He will be joining coaches Li “Jay” Chieh, Chen “Achie” Chen-Chi, and Wei “Java” Yi-Fan. Kim replaces coach Sim Sung-soo, who left the team on Nov. 14.

New Direction for BLG

In the 2020 season, Bilibili Gaming had a disappointing performance, finishing in 12th place in the LPL Summer Split. Despite signing top laner Hwang “Kingen” Seong-hoon and mid laner Chu “FoFo” Chun-Lan, the team struggled to find success. To compete with the top teams in China, BLG may make additional new signings for the 2021 season.

Kim’s Experience and Potential Impact

Even though Kim Jeong-soo was unable to qualify for the 2020 League World Championship with T1, his extensive coaching experience cannot be overlooked. He will bring valuable knowledge and strategic insight to Bilibili Gaming, potentially elevating the team’s performance in the LPL.
