Bilibili Gaming dominates Invictus Gaming, keeping playoff aspirations alive in 2021 LPL Summer Split

Bilibili Gaming dominates Invictus Gaming in a 2-0 win

Bilibili Gaming showcased an impressive performance in week 8 of the 2021 LPL Summer Split, defeating Invictus Gaming in a clean 2-0 series. Led by former T1 and DWG KIA coach Kim, BLG’s mid-laner Zeka and AD carry Aiming stood out as the MVPs of the match. Zeka’s skillful play on Galio and Lee Sin, combined with Aiming’s swift moves on Ezreal and Varus, played a crucial role in securing victory for BLG. Their dominant performance in teamfights and damage output put Invictus Gaming on the backfoot throughout the series.

A well-rounded composition leads BLG to victory

In the first match of the series, Invictus Gaming initially took the lead with strong performances from TheShy’s Lucian and Rookie’s LeBlanc. However, Bilibili Gaming quickly turned the tide by securing Rift Heralds and dragons, equalizing the game and eventually building a gold lead. Their well-rounded composition with poke, dive potential, and backline threats allowed them to secure the win.

Zeka’s Lee Sin dominates the second match

The second match was a one-sided affair, largely due to Zeka’s exceptional play on Lee Sin. Winning his lane and then roaming the map for quick kills, Zeka capitalized on his ultimate’s high damage to secure kills and dominate teamfights. Invictus Gaming struggled to withstand BLG’s aggression, resulting in a 0-2 series loss for IG.

Playoff implications for BLG and IG

Bilibili Gaming currently sits in seventh place in the standings with a good game score. However, they must continue to perform well in their remaining matches to secure a playoff spot. On the other hand, Invictus Gaming is currently in 13th place and would need a combination of wins and favorable results from other teams to have a chance at qualifying for the playoffs.
