Bengi’s Exceptional Performance: A Key Player for SKT

The Impact of Bengi on SK Telecom T1

When we talk about SK Telecom T1 (SKT), we usually associate the team with Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok. However, there is another player on the team who has also won three world championships, and his name is Bae “Bengi” Seong-woong.

Bengi played a crucial role in SKT’s success at the recent Worlds. He and Kang “Blank” Sun-gu both played 10 games in the jungle. But Bengi had a higher win rate, securing eight wins compared to Blank’s six.

Bengi performed exceptionally well in the semifinals and onwards, winning six out of seven matches against other LCK teams, ROX Tigers and Samsung Galaxy. In addition, Bengi was involved in 60% of the first bloods for SKT, which was twice as many as Wolf and Blank.

It is important to acknowledge Bengi’s impact and recognize him as one of the driving forces behind SKT’s success.

Bengi vs. Faker

No one can deny that both Bengi and Faker are legendary players. They have both achieved greatness and contributed significantly to League of Legends. They have played their roles flawlessly and have helped SKT become a three-time world champion organization.

However, when it comes to praise and recognition, most of it goes to Faker rather than Bengi. Even at the recent Worlds final, Faker was the one interviewed and celebrated. While Faker is undeniably an exceptional player, some believe that Bengi’s overall performance deserved more recognition.
