Bengi and PoohManDu make a comeback to SKT as coaches.

Two World Champions Return to SK Telecom T1 for 2018 Season

SK Telecom T1, the renowned esports organization, has announced that two former world champions will be returning for the 2018 season. Lee “PoohManDu” Jeong-hyeon and Bae “Bengi” Seong-woong, who had previously joined LPL side Vici Gaming, are set to assist the new head coach, Kim “kkOma” Jeong-gyun. After a disappointing 2017, SKT is looking to regain its championship form with the help of these experienced players.

Bengi’s transition into coaching marks a new chapter in his career. Having achieved World Championship success with SKT in 2015 and 2016, he brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the team. PoohManDu, who also won a World Championship with SKT in 2013, will be another valuable addition to the coaching staff.

A Disappointing Year for SKT in 2017

The 2017 season was not as successful for SK Telecom T1. Despite their previous achievements, the team fell short in their bid for a fourth World Championship title, losing to Samsung Galaxy in the finals. As a result, SKT decided to part ways with several members of their coaching staff, in an effort to reevaluate and make necessary changes for the upcoming season.

Roster Changes for SK Telecom T1

In addition to the coaching staff changes, SKT also experienced roster adjustments. Jungler Han “Peanut” Wang-ho was released by SKT and has since joined Longzhu Gaming. Furthermore, top laner Heo “Huni” Seung-hoon is rumored to be joining Echo Fox, according to ESPN.

With the return of two world champions and a revamped coaching staff, SK Telecom T1 is determined to reclaim their dominant position in the esports scene. Fans eagerly await the 2018 season to see how these changes will impact the team’s performance.
