Beichuan’s Udyr Guides FunPlus Phoenix to a Win in the 2021 LPL Spring Split

FunPlus Phoenix secured a 2-0 win over LGD Gaming today in the eighth week of the 2021 LPL Spring Split.

The 2019 League of Legends world champions were led by the team’s newest jungler, Yang “Beichuan” Ling. Beichuan was promoted to the main roster after teammate Zhou “Bo” Yang-Bo was suspended last month due to match-fixing allegations in the LDL.

Beichuan used Udyr in both games, finishing with a combined KDA of 7/0/14. His early game pressure on the map was the key to today’s victory. He helped his laners build a lead and secure the neutral objectives.

FunPlus Phoenix dominated the first game, with Beichuan focusing on the top lane and giving Nuguri a strong advantage in teamfights. They demolished towers and finished the game in just 21 minutes.

In the second game, LGD changed their composition but FPX stuck with Udyr and Beichuan once again had an impressive performance. They secured a quick double kill near the dragon pit and continued to dominate the game, winning in 21 minutes.

With this win, FunPlus Phoenix climbed to fifth place in the 2021 LPL Spring Split standings. They will face ThunderTalk Gaming on March 12.
