League of Legends Patch 10.1 is here to address the issues of season nine by making necessary adjustments to champions and items. The patch aims to rebalance the game by nerfing powerful champions and buffing those in need of improvement.
Nerfing Aphelios and Mordekaiser
Patch 10.1 brings significant nerfs to the newest ADC, Aphelios, as well as the dominating top laner, Mordekaiser. Riot hopes these changes will level the playing field and create a more balanced experience.
Buffs for Sylas and Other Champions
Riot is also focusing on improving the champion Sylas by providing overall buffs. Additionally, champions like Azir, Corki, Nami, Vi, and Zyra will receive smaller adjustments that will positively impact their performance in competitive play and the solo queue ladder.

Release Date and Time
Patch 10.1 will be released on Wednesday, Jan. 8. Server maintenance is expected to begin at 5am CT, and the patch will be available to play around three hours later, at 8am CT. Season 10 will commence two days later, on Friday, Jan. 10, at a similar time.
