Assessing the 2021 offseason player changes of every LCS team

The global competitive offseason in the world of League of Legends has been full of excitement for fans. Multiple stars have changed teams, and some have even moved to new regions. The 2021 free agency period has not disappointed.

North America has been a hotspot for offseason news, with teams loading up on fresh talent and familiar faces. The LCS will look very different next season and promises to bring more excitement than ever before.

But as with every free agency period, there are winners and losers. Some teams have made great moves, while others have struggled to make an impact. Ten teams are waiting for their report cards to see how they fared in this tumultuous offseason.

Top of the class

Team Liquid: A+

Team Liquid has consistently been one of the strongest teams in the LCS in recent years. Their roster for 2022 is shaping up to be their best yet, with the addition of top talent from Europe. Bwipo, Bjergsen, Hans sama, and others will make Liquid a force to be reckoned with.

Evil Geniuses: A

Evil Geniuses had a successful offseason, bringing in top talent like Inspired and Vulcan. With a strong core and promising newcomers like Jojoypun, EG is poised to secure a top-three spot in the league.

100 Thieves: A-

100 Thieves decided to stick with their winning formula from last season. With a roster that performed well in 2021 and the addition of Tenacity, 100 Thieves is looking strong for the upcoming season.

Time to hit the books

TSM: B

TSM faced some significant changes this offseason, losing key players like Bjergsen and PowerOfEvil. While they have some question marks with their new additions, TSM still has a strong roster and the guidance of veteran players.

Cloud9: B-

Cloud9 has made some major changes to their roster, including moving Fudge to the mid lane. With a mix of rookies and veteran talent, C9 has the potential for success, but it may take some time for everything to come together.

Immortals: C+

Immortals made some decent pickups with PowerOfEvil and WildTurtle, but their roster as a whole doesn’t look like a strong contender. They may struggle to make a deep push in the playoffs.

CLG: C

CLG made a complete overhaul of their roster and coaching staff. While they have brought in some talented young players, it remains to be seen if they can turn their fortunes around.

Long shots and Hail Marys

FlyQuest: C-

FlyQuest made some questionable moves in the offseason, losing promising prospects and bringing in a mix of experienced and unknown players. They may struggle to compete with the top teams.

Dignitas: D+

Dignitas’ roster for 2022 has left fans confused. They have a mix of players at different points in their careers, which may not lead to success. They may find themselves at the bottom of the standings.

Golden Guardians: D

Golden Guardians’ roster also raises doubts. Their newcomers have not shown much potential, and the team may struggle to make an impact next season.
