ARURF Dominates League this Weekend Following Clash Cancellation

Riot Activates ARURF as Compensation for Clash Suspension

Riot has decided to make up for the suspension of the new tournament feature, Clash, in League of Legends by activating ARURF, one of the game’s most popular modes.

“As ARURF is one of our most requested modes, we hope this will bring some respite to an otherwise rough weekend,” Riot stated.

Clash was supposed to go live yesterday, allowing teams of five friends to compete against other squads for in-game prizes.

Riot is currently investigating the cause of the Clash failure and fixing it is their top priority. More information on the next steps for Clash will be provided in the coming days.

Furthermore, Riot is considering further compensations for affected players.

Although the exact cause of the issue remains unclear, Garena, the third-party server vendor in China, described it as a bug that would automatically result in a random win or loss for a team when starting a game.

ARURF is now globally available until the end of Sunday. However, because the game mode was rushed out without testing, players should expect bugs and unusual interactions during matches. Riot has also disabled certain runes and champions, including Evelynn.
