Aphromoo Departs from CLG

Aphromoo Leaves CLG After Five-Year Run

CLG announced earlier today that Zaqueri “Aphromoo” Black, the team’s support player, has decided to leave after five years with the organization.

Aphromoo, who served as CLG’s captain during his time with the team, was considered one of the top supports in North America throughout his career. He was known for his successful partnership with Yiliang “Doublelift” Peng, the former AD carry for Team Liquid. Together, they formed the renowned Rush Hour bot lane, earning a reputation as the best duo lane in the NA LCS.

Following Doublelift’s departure in 2016, Aphromoo stepped up as CLG’s captain and led the team to win their second NA LCS championship, achieve a top two finish at the Mid Season Invitational, and make an appearance at the World Championship in 2016.

Although it is currently unknown which team Aphromoo will join next, it is certain that he will receive numerous offers. His skills as a North American native support player and shot-caller make him an attractive asset for any team in need of a support player.

CLG has yet to announce a replacement for Aphromoo. However, with players like Vincent “Biofrost” Wang and Kim “Olleh” Joo-sung still available, CLG has the opportunity to find a strong support player before the end of this year’s offseason.
