Aphelios and Lee Sin targeted for nerfs in League’s Patch 10.15 preview

League of Legends Champions Aphelios and Lee Sin to Receive Nerfs in Patch 10.15

In an upcoming patch, two of the most popular champions in League of Legends, Aphelios and Lee Sin, will be facing nerfs. League’s lead gameplay designer, Mark “Scruffy” Yetter, gave players a preview of the changes to expect in Patch 10.15. These adjustments come as a response to feedback from professional players and Riot developers.

According to the patch preview, Aphelios will see a nerf to the “spin up” time of his turret, which means it will take longer for the turret to start shooting. The Crescendum Sentry, which attacks nearby enemies, allows the AD carry to execute powerful combinations. This change aims to create more counterplay opportunities for opponents, especially during the laning phase.

Aphelios has been a challenge for Riot to balance since his release. The champion has been consistently nerfed in almost every patch, and these adjustments in Patch 10.15 continue that trend.

Lee Sin, the Blind Monk, will also have his power reduced, although the specific details of the nerfs are yet to be determined. Lee Sin has not received any direct changes since Patch 9.18. While his win rate in solo queue is around 47 percent in Platinum rank or higher for the current patch, his presence and performance in professional play cannot be ignored.

Riot may target Lee Sin’s Safeguard (W) cooldown or reduce the base damage of his abilities to diminish his early game effectiveness.

Additionally, Patch 10.15 will include nerfs for other champions such as Ornn, tank Fiddlesticks, Twisted Fate, and Thresh.

It’s important to note that the patch preview is subject to change before it goes live on the servers.
