Solo Set to Join Immortals for 2023 LCS Summer Split

Colin “Solo” Earnest, who spent a year as TSM’s League of Legends starting top laner, has reportedly reached a verbal agreement to join Immortals for the upcoming season. Esports journalist Alejandro Gomis broke the news, and Solo might be accompanied by former SK Gaming and TSM support Erik “Treatz” Wessén as new additions to the roster. The goal is to help lift the team from their current position at the bottom of the standings.

Solo is one of the most experienced players in the league, having started his career in North America’s tier-two scene in 2015 with Cloud9. He entered the LCS in 2018 with Clutch Gaming and has since played for five different teams with similar regular season performances. In his previous season with TSM, he struggled to find consistency as the team finished in seventh place.

However, Solo is now joining Immortals, an organization desperate for success. Since rejoining the LCS in 2020, Immortals has consistently landed in the bottom three of the regular season standings. With the addition of Solo and other potential reliable options, the team might have a chance to secure a postseason position with their veteran leadership.

The 2023 LCS Summer Split is scheduled to begin on June 1.
