An extensive guide to the upcoming ADC changes in League of Legends’ Patch 8.11 this week

League of Legends Patch 8.11 Brings Big Changes to the Bot Lane

Patch 8.10 for League of Legends stirred things up for junglers, and now, Patch 8.11 is taking aim at the bot lane. These changes include updates to items, balance changes, and new runes that will have a significant impact on the meta at all levels of play. To help you better understand these changes and their effects on players, we have created a comprehensive guide based on the PBE changes.

Bloodrazor

Bloodrazor

We are particularly interested in the ADC-focused changes that Patch 8.11 brings to items. One of these changes is the introduction of a new item called Stormrazor. This item has a unique passive that guarantees a critical strike on the first basic attack in a combat, while also boosting movement speed for a short duration. Stormrazor provides high AD and attack speed as its base stats.

Infinity Edge

Infinity Edge

The new Infinity Edge no longer increases crit damage or chance. Instead, it doubles any crit chance the champion has and converts 15% of the crit strike damage into True Damage that ignores resistances. This change heavily encourages crit builds for ADCs and puts non-crit builds at a disadvantage.

Essence Reaver

Essence Reaver

The Essence Reaver sees a significant change in this patch. It no longer restores mana on crits but instead restores missing mana on every basic attack. This change makes it a great item for caster and burst ADCs. In addition, the new passive grants a power spike when the ultimate ability is used, increasing attack speed and refunding cooldowns on non-ultimate abilities. This item has become a reliable and affordable choice for non-crit builds.

Hail of Blades

Hail of Blades

A new Domination Keystone rune called Hail of Blades is introduced in this patch. It provides a massive boost to attack speed for the first few attacks in combat, making it suitable for burst ADCs like Jhin and Lucian. However, this rune may also unexpectedly benefit crit ADCs and fighters/bruisers.

These changes will be implemented in Patch 8.11, which is scheduled to release tomorrow. The meta is sure to shift, but only time will tell which build will dominate.
