Almost a year and a half later, Nilah dominates the LoL metagame

New ADC Champion Nilah Shines in Season 13 of League of Legends

Nilah, the latest addition to the League of Legends roster, has risen in popularity as one of the strongest AD carry picks in season 13. With a win rate of 52 percent in Platinum and above, Nilah has become a force to be reckoned with in the bot lane. According to U.GG stats, she has been played in over 93,300 matches since Patch 13.17 went live.

Impressive Performance in the Bot Lane

In terms of overall ranking, Nilah is the 16th best pick in League, surpassing champions like Swain, Naafiri, and Poppy. In the bot lane specifically, she is only outperformed by Swain, Karthus, Seraphine, and Yasuo. It’s interesting to note that none of these champions are traditional marksmen, with Ashe and Vayne being the closest contenders.

Staying Relevant Against Scaling Mages

Nilah’s rise to popularity can be attributed to her ability to stay relevant against scaling mages that dominate the current League meta. Champions like Swain, Yasuo, and Seraphine excel in the late game, but Nilah offers a viable option for players who prefer traditional bot laners. This is similar to Zeri, who quickly became a meta favorite upon release.

A Consistent Performer Across Ranks

Nilah’s success is evident across all ranks, with win rates of 52.24 percent in Iron, 52.84 percent in Silver, and 52.45 percent in Gold. However, in the highest ranks of Master and Challenger, her win rate drops slightly to 50.14 percent.

If you’re considering playing Nilah in your next ranked match, it’s recommended to build The Collector into Navori Quickblades. This combination has a 60 percent win rate in the current patch. As the game progresses, items like Immortal Shieldbow, Bloodthirster, Lord Dominik’s Regards, and Guardian Angel are all solid choices.

For runes, Conqueror with Triumph, Legend: Bloodline, and Last Stand are recommended. Additional options include Sudden Impact and Treasure Hunter.
