The Eclipse 2022 event has begun in League of Legends. Players can participate in a variety of missions without needing to purchase an event pass.
All players have access to a six-mission track and an additional mission to celebrate the event. The event also introduces new skins for Kayle, Aatrox, Senna, Sejuani, and Sivir. Eclipse Capsules can be purchased through the in-game shop, but they do not provide additional missions upon purchase.
These capsules contribute to a new event-exclusive milestone track, which Riot recently introduced as part of the Mythic item overhaul. A bonus mission is available to all players from the beginning, requiring them to accumulate 150 points by playing and winning games. Players will receive one Eclipse Capsule and Eclipse Grab Bag for free upon completing this mission.
Here are all the Eclipse 2022 missions and how players can complete them.
Mystery mission
The mission track starts with a mystery mission, which presents players with a riddle that provides no information on how to complete it. Players have found success in clearing this mission by playing with or against any of the champions that received a new Eclipse skin in this patch. Completing this mission will reward players with 200 Orange Essence.
Slay a Sun Eater? That’s Gonna Cost Ya
The first official mission, called “Slay a Sun Eater? That’s Gonna Cost Ya,” refers to the new lore of the Eclipse champions who are looking to defeat Kayle. Players can complete this mission by accumulating 30,000 gold, and the reward for completion is 250 Blue Essence.
Weapon of a Lost Age
The second mission, titled “Weapon of a Lost Age,” becomes available after finishing the mystery mission. Players need to earn a vision score of 35 or higher, which can be achieved in games on Summoner’s Rift. Completing this mission will grant players one Hextech Key.
The Beast Rider’s Trial
The third mission, “The Beast Rider’s Trial,” focuses on the monsters that reside in the Rift. To complete this mission and receive a Hextech Chest, players or their team must defeat four Epic monsters in a single game. This includes the elemental drakes, Elder Dragon, Rift Herald, and Baron Nashor. This cannot be accomplished in ARAM, as these monsters do not spawn there.
Knights of the Empty Moon
To complete the fourth mission, “Knights of the Empty Moon,” players have two options. They can either achieve twelve or more takedowns in one game or win a game with an Aatrox on the enemy team. Players will earn a Hextech Chest and a Hextech Key for completing this mission.
She Must Be Stopped
The final mission of the Eclipse 2022 event, “She Must Be Stopped,” also gives players options for completion. The easiest way is to win a game as Senna, Sivir, or Sejuani, although players can also achieve this by gaining 500 objective points. The final reward for completing this mission is one Masterwork Chest and a Hextech Key.
Players have until May 12th to complete all of the Eclipse 2022 missions in League.
