All the details we have on the Fiddlesticks rework

Riot Games Reveals Fiddlesticks’ Terrifying VGU

Riot Games just dropped a preview of the highly anticipated Fiddlesticks VGU for League of Legends, and it’s shaping up to be one of the best champion updates in a long time.

Fiddlesticks’ new design fully embraces its grotesquely terrifying theme. With a mechanical arm dragging on the ground and a chainsaw blade strapped to its shoulder, Fiddlesticks looks like it came straight out of a horror film. When it moves around the map or leaps into battle with its Crowstorm, the champion sprouts two additional shadow arms and crawls toward its prey like a spider.

The League developer has shared a deep dive into the current progress of the Player Choice Fiddlesticks VGU on their official Twitter account: https://twitter.com/loleu/status/1217119191792332805?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw

More Than Just a Scary Scarecrow

Fans of Fiddlesticks will be thrilled to know that their favorite champion is not only getting a new look but also a revamped backstory. The developer is working on a backstory that aligns with Fiddlesticks’ terrifying appearance, while still being true to the character’s origins.

Although Fiddlesticks looks like a scarecrow, it is actually an ancient demon that has been haunting mankind for centuries. Fiddlesticks is composed of a demon living inside its chest cage, with its real arms sprouting forth from its shadowy form. Its internal organs are non-existent, and its glowing scythe and dragging arms are merely illusions.

What to Expect from Fiddlesticks’ New Kit?

While Fiddlesticks’ visual update is accompanied by a revamped kit, the champion’s playstyle will remain true to its origins. It will retain its point-and-click fear ability and ultimate, but there will be new mechanics added to Crowstorm.

Riot Games aims to make Fiddlesticks the iconic ambush champion with a kit centered around the concept of fear. The point-and-click fear effect will stay, but the developer is also introducing new mechanics that complement Fiddlesticks’ iconic Crowstorm ability.

Release Date and Updates

Riot Games has not announced an official release date for Fiddlesticks’ VGU. However, based on previous updates, players can expect the rework to go live in the next few months.
