New Icons Coming for Every League of Legends Champion in Patch 13.17
Datamine leaks have confirmed that new icons will be introduced for every single League of Legends champion in Patch 13.17. Players are already speculating that this could be a sign of the long-awaited return of the Essence Emporium.
The Essence Emporium was removed from League in 2022 due to technical issues and Riot’s efforts to make it more scalable. Since then, fans have been eagerly waiting for its comeback. With a year passing since its last appearance on the Riot-built client, hopes were fading—until today.
Insiders in the League community datamined today and discovered that new icons are on their way for all League champions in the next patch. You can check out the icons here.
Additionally, there will be several adorable Poro emotes available in the League shop soon.
League players are thrilled at the possibility of the Essence Emporium’s return and are already expressing their desire to spend a large amount of blue essence to get their hands on these new icons and emotes.

However, some fans have expressed concern about the display of the champion’s regions on the icons. They feel it detracts from the overall aesthetic and have suggested that Riot may need to make changes in a future patch. Riot has not yet commented on whether they will adjust the cosmetics during the PBE testing.
Although the regional icons may take up some space on the champion’s profile, it’s not too bothersome as they become square. Fans are overall excited about the potential return of the Blue Essence Emporium in Patch 13.17 and can’t wait to collect these new icons.
