After Meteos’ trade, none of the original Cloud9 roster are LCS starters

The Trade that Shook the NA LCS

The NA LCS community was buzzing this week with news of the unexpected trade between 100 Thieves and FlyQuest. William “Meteos” Hartman, a well-known player from 100 Thieves, was exchanged for FlyQuest’s Academy jungler AnDa. This trade marks the end of an era, as there are no longer any original Cloud9 roster members starting in the LCS.

A Surprising Move

There are several peculiar aspects to the Meteos-AnDa deal. Initially, many believed that 100 Thieves would make way for their Academy jungler, Đỗ “Levi” Duy Khánh, to join the starting roster. However, it was announced that AnDa would be taking the starting position, which seems like a significant downgrade from both Meteos and Levi.

FlyQuest’s Unexpected Decision

Another strange aspect of the trade is that FlyQuest will not be starting Meteos, who has been one of the league’s top junglers for the past five years. Instead, they will allow him to compete for a spot on the starting roster, according to 100 Thieves’ announcement. This decision doesn’t make much sense, especially for fans of Meteos.

The End of an Era

The departure of Meteos also signifies the end of the original Cloud9 roster. Several players who were once part of Cloud9, such as Hai Lam, An “BalIs” Van Le, Daerek “LemonNation” Hart, and Zachary “Sneaky” Scuderi, have either left their teams or been benched in the Academy league. It’s a major shift for the team that fans have grown to love.

While Meteos may find a new home on a starting squad soon, we can still mourn the end of this era. It’s a significant moment in the NA LCS history.
