INTZ e-Sports Head Coach Talks Coaching and Worlds 2016 Prospects

I interviewed Alexander “Abaxial” Haibel, head coach of INTZ e-Sports, to discuss coaching and their prospects going into Worlds 2016.

About Abaxial and His Journey into Esports

Abaxial, who has been interested in esports for over 10 years, began his journey with WarCraft 3. After being a college swimmer, he studied professional League and eventually became a coach. His desire to continue competing was a significant motivator to pursue esports.

The Reality of Being an Esports Coach

Coaches handle various tasks such as researching strategies, improving communication, and managing personalities. However, the most challenging part is dedicating most of their time to others. Being selfless consistently requires tremendous effort.

Coaching INTZ and Preparing for Worlds 2016

Abaxial expresses satisfaction with coaching INTZ, particularly the team’s increased mental stability. They have improved their best-of-five performances and adapted strategically between games. Abaxial believes INTZ has a favorable matchup and hopes for success at Worlds.

Highlight of Abaxial’s Career

The highlight of Abaxial’s career was the IWCQ win over Dark Passage, marking a significant achievement after previous defeats. He is grateful to his fans, especially those who make an effort to understand him despite the language barrier.
