Riot Games to Buff Eight Champions in League of Legends Patch 13.14
The League of Legends balance team from Riot Games is back from their mid-year hiatus and ready to make some changes. Patch 13.14, scheduled for release on July 19, will bring some much-needed buffs to eight champions.
Announced on Twitter by Riot dev boss Matt “Phroxzon” Leung-Harrison, the list of champions set to receive buffs includes popular picks Aatrox and Xerath.

- Shaco
- Shyvana
- Volibear
- Xerath
- Zyra
According to League of Graphs, most of these champions currently sit at the bottom of the popularity and win rate charts. In particular, Shyvana has a very low pick rate of only 1.5 percent.
Shyvana will receive significant buffs to her Q, Twin Bite, and her E, Flame Breath. Xerath, on the other hand, will see changes to his base mana, passive, and ultimate.
The balance team aims to modernize mages with this patch. Specific values and exact numbers will be revealed closer to the release date.
Don’t forget, Patch 13.14 also introduces Naafiri, the newest champion to join the League.
