Worlds 2023 Round Four Matchups Revealed

After completing the third round matches on Oct. 23 at Worlds 2023 Swiss stage, the matchups for round four have been drawn. This round will feature two Europe vs. North America showdowns, with the winner of one of these matches securing a spot in the quarterfinals.

G2 Esports and NRG, the only two Western teams in the 2-1 bracket, will face each other, guaranteeing a seed in the Knockout stage for the winner. In the same bracket, T1 will compete against Bilibili Gaming and LNG Esports will go up against KT Rolster.

In the 1-2 seeding, a League of Legends El Clásico will occur as Cloud9 takes on Fnatic in a BO3 series for survival. MAD Lions, the second European team in the bracket, faces a tough challenge against Weibo Gaming, while Dplus KIA will play GAM Esports.

Round four of the Worlds 2023 Swiss stage will feature teams from different regions, with no “Civil Wars” taking place.

The third round saw the first two teams, JD Gaming and Gen.G, secure their spots in the playoffs with a perfect 3-0 record. However, it also marked the end for Team Liquid and Team BDS, who were eliminated after losing to GAM and DK, respectively.

All the remaining teams in the Worlds 2023 Swiss stage will have ample time to practice for their upcoming clashes as the tournament returns in three days. The first two games, featuring C9 vs. Fnatic and MAD vs. Weibo Gaming, are scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 26.
