A well-known tank item is set to receive further nerfs before League’s 2023 preseason.

Exciting Changes Coming to League of Legends Preseason 2023

The upcoming preseason for League of Legends in 2023 promises to bring excitement to the game. Players can look forward to new items like Jak’Sho, a tank item with an HP-draining aura, and the return of Rod of Ages. To ensure a smooth experience and avoid overpowered items, Riot Games is taking preemptive measures by balancing items, including Heartsteel.

Heartsteel to Receive Nerfs

Heartsteel, a notorious item, is once again being nerfed. The data from the PBE, as shared by Surrender@20 mod Spideraxe, reveals that the damage health ratio will be reduced from seven percent max HP to six percent HP.

Changes to Randuin’s Omen and Radiant Virtue

Randuin’s Omen, which is already a strong and cost-efficient item, will become more expensive in the preseason. Its cost is being raised from 2900 to 3000, and the armor is also being reduced from 70 to 60.

On the other hand, Radiant Virtue, a new tank item, is receiving a buff. Its cost is being reduced from 3200 to 3000, making it a more accessible option for players.

Adjustments to Rod of Ages

Rod of Ages has proven to be a powerful item on PBE. To ensure balance, it is being targeted with nerfs. The health/mana restored to trigger movement speed is reduced from 300 to 250. Additionally, the damage to mana on Catalyst of Aeons, which is a component of Rod of Ages, is decreased from 10 percent to eight percent.

Jak’Sho and Turbo Chemtank Upgrades

The upcoming meta will see a rise in usage for Jak’Sho, the Protean. Its minion drain is being increased from 25 percent to 33 percent, making it a valuable asset.

Lastly, Turbo Chemtank is receiving an upgrade. It will now provide an additional 500 HP, compared to the original 400 HP.

The highly anticipated 2023 preseason is set to launch on Nov. 16, bringing these exciting changes to the live servers.
