The latest PBE update included a mysterious file that features a computer interface and references Kai’Sa and an exosuit. The headline of the file is “FORTUNE,” leaving fans curious and intrigued.
The word “fortune” is only mentioned once more in League, and that’s in reference to Miss Fortune, the pistol-toting pirate captain. The question arises: what connection does a super-powered human-Void hybrid hunter like Kai’Sa have with a pirate captain? And how will this relationship be explored in new content? Although this file raises more questions than it answers, it’s undeniably exciting for fans.
One possibility is that this file teases a new skin. Towards the end, the file reveals a red-haired female, likely Miss Fortune, who is wanted for various crimes. This suggests that the skin might be tied to Kai’Sa’s Bullet Angel skin rather than directly to Kai’Sa herself.
Miss Fortune isn’t typically associated with space travel, but there is one pirate champion, Gangplank, who has a skin that allows him to do just that—the Dreadnova skin. It’s possible that we might see a Dreadnova skin for Miss Fortune, with a thematic tie-in to Kai’Sa’s Bullet Angel skin.
Gangplank’s skin didn’t have any interesting teasers like this one, so it’s safe to assume that if this is indeed a new skin, it could be a significant release. We’ll have to wait for Riot to provide more details.
