The upcoming League of Legends World Championship 2020 is set to be held in China, adding an exciting element to the tournament in light of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
A total of 22 top teams from around the world are competing for the title of world champion. However, only 16 of these teams will move on to the main event. The main event will feature a double round-robin format, where the top two teams from each group will advance to the knockout stage.

Format:
– There will be a total of 16 teams participating in the main event, including four teams from the play-in stage.
– The teams will be divided into four groups.
– The matches will be played in a best-of-one format.
– The top two teams from each group will advance to the knockout stage.

The tournament will start on September 25. Here’s the schedule for the main event:
