A Guide to Downloading League of Legends: Wild Rift APK and OBB Files

Mobile version of League of Legends, Wild Rift, launches regional closed Beta

The highly anticipated mobile version of League of Legends, Wild Rift, is finally arriving. The game has started its first regional closed Beta on Sept. 16, with selected players from the Philippines, Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, and Thailand gaining access to the game through Google’s Play Store.

The closed Beta will expand to include more countries and platforms as Riot Games continues to address bugs and refine the game. If players are unable to install the game through the Play Store, they have the option to side-load it onto their mobile devices. However, a beta invite is still required to login and play.

Side-loading allows players to install apps or games that are not available in the Google Play Store. It’s important to note that side-loading does not guarantee the ability to play or run the game after installation.

This method of downloading Wild Rift is only applicable to players who have received an invite from Riot but are unable to install the game through the Play Store. If players have not received an invite, side-loading will not grant access to the game.

Before attempting to download the game using this method, players should check the official Google Play Store page for Wild Rift to see if it is available for download.

League of Legends: Wild Rift beta APK + OBB download link for Android

To download Wild Rift, players will need to follow these steps:

1) Download the APK and OBB files of Wild Rift: Beta

Begin by downloading the APK and OBB files of Wild Rift. These files are extracted from the official installation through the Play Store, ensuring there is no difference between the Play Store version and this version.

2) Click on the APK file to install

If players have installed APK files before, their device will handle the installation process. For first-time users, they must allow the installation of apps from unknown sources. This can be done by navigating to the settings, finding the safety/privacy tab, and enabling the option to “Install apps from Unknown Sources.”

3) Place the OBB file in the correct folder after installation

After installing the APK, players must move the OBB file to the “Android > OBB > com.riotgames.league.wildrift” folder. It’s important to move the file instead of copying and pasting it to avoid creating duplicates that take up additional storage.

4) Enjoy the game or wait for an invite

Once Wild Rift is installed, players can delete the APK file used for installation. However, access to the game is still dependent on receiving a beta invite. Players with beta access can enjoy the game after completing the installation process.

It’s important to note that these instructions are for Android users. iOS users will have to wait for specific instructions to be released.

Stay tuned for more updates on the release of Wild Rift!
