League of Legends Teases Mysterious Image on Twitter

The tweet from the German account was translated by SurrenderAt20 and reads, “Two forces meet: The lion wants to reign forever. The wolf hungers for endless war.” It also mentions the date June 27, 2018, which is speculated to be when League fans will finally have answers.

With no other details provided in the tweet, Riot Games is leaving it up to the League community to speculate and theorize about the meaning behind the image. It could signify an in-game event, a new champion, or possibly a new skin.

Riot Games has previously announced their plans to release fewer new champions, with Pyke being the most recent addition in Patch 8.11. Before Pyke, Kai’Sa was added to the game in Patch 8.5 on March 7.

Currently, the Curse of the Drowned in-game event is underway in League, scheduled to end on June 18. It’s possible that this image is a teaser for another event happening at the end of June. Riot Games is also known for releasing numerous skins, meaning it could be hinting at a new set of cosmetics in the near future.

One thing is for certain – something significant related to this image will happen in League of Legends on June 27.
