A Champion at Worlds 2022 Achieved a Flawless Win Rate and Faced 68 Bans

Yuumi Dominates the 2022 League of Legends World Championship

The 2022 League of Legends World Championship showcased an overwhelmingly powerful champion: Yuumi. This Magical Cat had a staggering 95% pick and ban rate at the main event, surpassing all other champions. According to Leaguepedia, Yuumi was banned a total of 68 times, more than any other champion. Despite being chosen only eight times, Yuumi boasted a perfect 100% win rate throughout the main event.

Yuumi’s Impact in the Pick-and-Ban Phase

Yuumi played a critical role in the pick-and-ban phase for many teams during the tournament. Teams were particularly cautious of the red side, fearing that their opponents would select Yuumi. In the series between DWG KIA and Gen.G, both teams had the opportunity to utilize Yuumi, resulting in victorious compositions.

Aatrox: The Champion with High Pick and Ban Rate

While Yuumi excelled in performance, Aatrox emerged as the champion with the highest pick and ban rate. This top lane bruiser boasted a perfect 100% pick and ban rate. However, out of the 22 times Aatrox was chosen, it only secured 12 victories, translating to a 54.5% win rate.

Other Noteworthy Champions in the Tournament

Aside from Yuumi and Aatrox, Sejuani, Caitlyn, and Azir also garnered significant attention. These three champions achieved pick and ban rates of 90%, 87.5%, and 82.5%, respectively, throughout the tournament.
