2023 League Squad by KOI: Retaining Majority of Old Rogue Roster

KOI to Join LEC in 2023, Retaining Majority of Rogue’s Lineup

Spanish esports franchise KOI will be joining the LEC in 2023 following a merger with Rogue earlier this year. The organization recently revealed the lineup of starting players that will represent KOI in the upcoming season.

Retaining Key Players

In the upcoming season, KOI will retain four out of the five starters from Rogue’s 2022 League of Legends lineup. Only top laner Odoamne will be leaving the team. The remaining starting players, including jungler Malrang, mid laner Larssen, AD carry Comp, and support Trymbi, will continue with the organization as it transitions to KOI.

New Additions to the Team

Szygenda, former top laner for Vitality, will replace Odoamne in the top lane for KOI. Szygenda played at the LFL level in 2022 and has not competed on the LEC stage since 2021. Odoamne, who achieved All-Pro status in all four splits played with Rogue, will be joining Excel Esports next season.

Building on Previous Success

Rogue was the most successful European League team in the latter part of last season, achieving success domestically and internationally. Retaining the majority of the championship-winning roster from the LEC and their impressive performance at the World Championship should set a solid foundation for the future of the KOI brand in League esports.

Introduction at Preseason Event

KOI’s 2023 LEC lineup was officially introduced by co-owner and streamer Ibai Llanos at a preseason event. After the introductions, KOI played a showmatch against LEC rivals Fnatic for some fun.

Upcoming Season

The 2023 LEC season will start on Saturday, Jan. 21 with the Winter Split. KOI’s first regular season game will be against Team BDS on that day.
