2023 LCS Summer Split Start Date

North America’s top League of Legends season is back in action this June with the LCS Summer Split. In the previous Spring Split, Cloud9 emerged victorious after a tough battle against Golden Guardians. Both teams secured a spot in the Mid-Season Invitational in London, but unfortunately, they couldn’t secure a win against teams from the LCK, LPL, or LEC.

As we look ahead to the Summer Split, all eyes are on TSM, a legendary organization that will be making its final appearance in the LCS. They have announced their plan to move to another major League region after the conclusion of the 2023 season.

The 2023 LCS Summer Split will kick off on Wednesday, June 14, with games taking place every Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday for the next eight weeks. This comes after Riot and the LCS Players Association (LCSPA) reached an agreement on the future of League esports in North America, particularly in terms of the developmental scene.

Originally, the LCS was scheduled to resume on June 1, beginning with a rematch between Cloud9 and Golden Guardians. However, following a collective vote by the LCSPA and a subsequent walkout due to Riot Games’ decision to remove mandatory participation in the second division of NA League, the start of the split was postponed by two weeks.
