2022 LCS Summer Split: What is the Start Date?

North American League of Legends Teams Prepare for 2022 LCS Summer Split

The LCS Mid-Season Invitational is underway in Busan, South Korea, with Evil Geniuses representing the North American league. While they compete, nine other North American League of Legends teams are gearing up for the second half of the 2022 regular season.

The Summer Split traditionally starts in mid-June, and this year is no different. According to the league, the 2022 LCS Summer Split will kick off on Saturday, June 17.(source)

Changes and Fresh Start for All Teams

All teams had an eight-week break after the Spring Split, which ended on April 23 when Evil Geniuses took home the trophy. During this break, teams were allowed to make changes, sign free agents, and engage in trades to improve their rosters for the summer season.

Unlike last season, where teams’ records were carried over, the records will reset to 0-0 for every team in the league when the Summer Split begins on June 17. This means all teams, including top seed Team Liquid and struggling team TSM, will start on equal footing.(source)
