Echo Fox Makes a Dramatic Comeback in the LCS Standings

What to Expect from Each Team in the Final Week

As we head into week nine of the 2019 Spring Split, each team has something to prove. Let’s take a look at what to expect from the teams in the playoff race:

Goodbye: Clutch Gaming, 100 Thieves

Both Clutch Gaming and 100 Thieves made some poor decisions during the offseason. While they brought in new players, their existing cores were unable to live up to expectations. This has put both organizations in a difficult situation, as they struggle to find a way to improve their performance without making drastic changes to their rosters. Fans have been calling for changes, but it’s not easy to find the right replacements in the middle of the split.

The Three Contenders: CLG, Echo Fox, OpTic

Echo Fox has made a remarkable comeback, winning two crucial matches. They are now tied with CLG and OpTic Gaming for the final playoff spot. However, they face a tough challenge going up against Team Liquid in their next game. OpTic Gaming, despite their recent 0-2 performance, still has a chance to secure a playoff spot with winnable matchups against Golden Guardians and 100 Thieves. CLG, on the other hand, remains the favorite in this race, but anything can happen in the final week.

Does it Really Matter: FlyQuest, Golden Guardians

FlyQuest had an impressive performance against Team Liquid, showing strong macro play and teamfighting. However, it’s worth noting that Liquid didn’t have much at stake in that match. FlyQuest and Golden Guardians will face each other in a crucial match with the fourth seed on the line. There is also a chance that Golden Guardians could fall back and trigger a series of tiebreakers with other teams.

Sitting Comfortably: Team Liquid, Cloud9, TSM

Team Liquid and Cloud9 have been experimenting with their lineups, trying out different players and strategies. TSM, on the other hand, has quietly improved their performance in the second half of the split. They have an opportunity to prove themselves against Team Liquid and potentially secure a higher seed in the playoffs. It promises to be an exciting week nine in the LCS.
