2 additional players on NS RedForce team test positive for COVID-19

Two Nongshim RedForce Players and Coach Test Positive for COVID-19

Two players from Nongshim RedForce, Gwak “Bdd” Bo-seong and Jeong “Peter” Yoon-su, along with head coach Bae “sBs” Ji-hun, have recently tested positive for COVID-19.

Their positive test results come after the announcement that Jang “Ghost” Yong-jun had also tested positive on Monday. As a precautionary measure, the organization has thoroughly cleaned and sanitized the team’s office and training room. The remaining players and coaching staff have undergone additional tests to ensure their safety.

The team is currently awaiting the PCR test results for support player Lee “Effort” Sang-ho.

Implications for Nongshim RedForce’s Upcoming Matches

At the moment, it is uncertain how Nongshim RedForce will handle their upcoming matches in the LCK (League of Legends Champions Korea). According to the team, they will provide further details regarding the matches once they have resolved the situation in accordance with LCK guidelines.

The South Korean league is scheduled to resume tomorrow after the Lunar New Year break.

It is highly likely that the organization will need to utilize its academy players for this week’s matches, following a similar approach taken by DRX in a previous situation.

Looking Ahead

Nongshim RedForce is set to return to action on Friday, February 11. The organization has some time to carefully consider their options. In the upcoming week, they will be facing Fredit BRION and Kwangdong Freecs.
