100 Thieves reportedly grants 2 star players freedom to explore options for upcoming LCS season.

100 Thieves Players Can “Closer” Çelik and Felix “Abbedagge” Braun Given Permission to Explore Options for 2023 Season

100 Thieves didn’t have a successful run at the 2022 League of Legends World Championship. They only managed to win one game during the group stage. With aspirations to qualify for Worlds next year and compete against the top Asian teams, 100T realizes the need for improvements. As a result, the organization has allowed Can “Closer” Çelik and Felix “Abbedagge” Braun to explore their options.

Permission Granted, But There’s Still a Chance for Both Players

Independent journalist LEC Wooloo shared on Instagram that 100T has given Closer and Abbedagge permission to explore their options for the upcoming 2023 season. However, it’s important to note that neither player is definitively out of the roster just yet. There is a possibility that 100T might change its mind and retain both players.

Potential Changes Await, But New Roster Members Remain Unknown

Abbedagge’s potential departure doesn’t come as a surprise, as he has often performed as a mid laner who falls in the middle of the pack, failing to make the big plays that 100T needs. However, Closer leaving the team would be a shock to the esports community. Closer has consistently shown his talent and determination throughout the year, refusing to give up on seemingly lost games.

Unfortunately, the specifics of who might join the new 100T roster remain a mystery at this stage.
