100 Thieves impress LCS fans with nearly flawless performance against FlyQuest in subbed mid match

100 Thieves Start Off LCS Summer Split with a Bang Against FlyQuest

The first day of the 2023 LCS Summer Split saw 100 Thieves’ League of Legends team facing off against FlyQuest in a highly anticipated match. However, 100 Thieves faced a tough challenge, not only because FlyQuest is a formidable opponent but also because their starting mid laner Quid was unavailable due to visa issues. In his place, the Thieves had to rely on their assistant coach Nukeduck, who had not played professionally since last year.

A Surprising Victory for 100 Thieves

Despite low expectations for 100 Thieves in this opening match, their top and bottom lane players showed exceptional skill and determination, proving their doubters wrong. Doublelift and Busio took control of the game in the first 10 minutes, outplaying Prince and Vulcan in a two-vs-two fight and securing a two-kill lead, which set the stage for a standout performance from Doublelift. The veteran AD carry continued to dominate throughout the game, collecting seven kills and four assists with fearless teamfighting and impeccable positioning. Ssumday also showcased his skills with six kills, including two impressive outplays.

A One-Sided Match

The Thieves displayed their dominance by not dropping a single kill to FlyQuest and conceding only one turret and a Rift Herald. FlyQuest’s star players failed to make an impact in crucial moments, and their decision-making left much to be desired. It was a lopsided 30-minute match that showcased 100 Thieves’ prowess.

Looking Ahead

While FlyQuest may have suffered a defeat in their first match, it’s too early to discount them. The team has a roster filled with talent and may just need some time to find their rhythm on the stage. On the other hand, 100 Thieves have gained momentum with their impressive first match and are eager to carry it forward in their upcoming game against Team Liquid.
