Latest News and Updates: VALORANT Patch 1.12 Notes

Riot is making some changes to the weekly VALORANT patch after the problematic release of Patch 1.11. They encountered several game-breaking bugs that slipped through, which led to a full re-release.

The developers are now taking a step back and reevaluating how they can improve the quality of patch releases in the future. While they are not skipping Patch 1.12, they are approaching it with a lighter touch.

Patch 1.12 will focus on updates to the Observer and social panel, along with several bug fixes. The Act Rank Badges in-match display will continue to be suspended as the developers investigate performance issues.

For the full list of updates in VALORANT Patch 1.12, you can visit their official website.

Competitive updates:

– Act Rank Badges are temporarily disabled in-game due to performance issues. However, they will still be displayed in Competitive lobbies, map load-ins, and the end-of-game screen.

Bug fixes:

– Fixed a bug that caused a VAL-51 error and required a game remake when a player left or disconnected from a Custom Game.
– Fixed a bug in the end-of-game screen after an Icebox match that displayed Haven’s map and timeline markers incorrectly.
– Fixed an issue where players could target mid-air weapons with certain abilities.
– Fixed mirroring issues in the left-handed mode recoil animation.
