New Member Named to EL Executive Committee
The European Lotteries (EL) Executive Committee recently announced the appointment of Mr. Ionut-Valeriu Andrei as its newest member during a meeting held on April 5. Mr. Andrei, who has been serving as the General Manager of Loteria Română since 2022, will be taking over the position previously held by Mr. Olgierd Cieslik, whose term as CEO of Totalisator Sportowy (Poland) has come to an end.
Expressing his excitement about the new addition to the committee, Arjan van ‘t Veer, the Secretary General of EL, stated, “It is with great pleasure to welcome Mr. Ionut-Valeriu Andrei as a new Executive Committee member. As an experienced executive, Mr. Andrei has already contributed in various ways to our Association, and the EL Executive Committee members trust he will continue to do so in the future.”
Commitment to Learning and Development
In his new role, Mr. Andrei will be overseeing the learning and development activities of EL. His appointment highlights the European Lotteries’ dedication to promoting inclusivity and collaboration among its members.

Mr. Andrei’s official induction into the committee will take place during the upcoming EL General Assembly scheduled to be held in Salzburg, Austria on June 17, 2024.
