eFIBA Season 2: Get all the details about the historic eFIBA Live World Finals!

The First Ever eFIBA Finals to Take Place at DreamHack Winter in Jönköping, Sweden

Copenhagen, November 10th, 2023 – The eFIBA Finals, the first in-person event of its kind, will be held on November 25-26 at DreamHack Winter in Jönköping, Sweden. Eight nations from Africa, Asia, Europe, Middle East, North America, South America, and Oceania will compete for the title of eFIBA World Champions and a share of the €50,000 prize pool.

All You Need to Know about the eFIBA S2 World Finals

Starting from November 25th, the top eight nations will compete on stage at DreamHack Winter, making history as national teams from around the world battle it out in competitive NBA 2K24. The winner not only becomes the first-ever eFIBA World Champion but also receives the largest portion of the prize pool and a live trophy ceremony.

Competition Schedule and Format

After six weeks of online qualifiers, the eFIBA Season 2 World Finals will feature eight nations from different regions. All games will be played in a best-of-three format.

Day One – November 25th

– Eight nations divided into two groups of four.
– Nations compete against each other once to determine group standings.
– The Group Stages start at 12:15pm CET.
– The top two nations from each group advance to the semi-finals.

Day Two – November 26th

– Winners of each group face the runners-up of the other group in best-of-three semi-finals.
– The semi-finals start at 10:45am CET.
– Third and fourth-placed nations from each group compete in classification games starting at 12:00pm CET.
– Losers of the semi-finals compete in the Bronze playoff at 3:00pm CET.
– Semi-final winners progress to the Final, where the World Champions will be crowned at 3:30pm CET.

Broadcast Talent

Vince Change will host the broadcast, with Chris Sampson providing expert analysis. Zunaid Suleman and Nate Patrick will be the sideline reporters for all matches.

Prize Money

A total of €50,000 is up for grabs in the prize pool. €40,000 will go to the top four nations, while €10,000 will be awarded to individual players. Another €5,000 will be given based on skill-boosters acquired in the semi-finals and final. The Most Valuable Player (MVP) and the Defensive Player of the Year will also receive €2,500 each.
