Clarion Gaming Draws Inspiration from 2,400 Exhibitor Mobile World Congress Experience

Clarion Gaming recently completed an orientation visit to the Gran Via Barcelona as part of their preparations for the upcoming ICE and iGB Affiliate events. The visit took place during the Mobile World Congress, a prestigious international event.

The purpose of the orientation visit was for the Clarion Gaming team and their clients to experience the scale and impact of the Gran Via Barcelona, which hosts the largest event for the connectivity ecosystem. This event attracts top mobile operators, device manufacturers, technology providers, vendors, and content owners from around the world.

Stuart Hunter, the Managing Director of Clarion Gaming, explained that the Mobile World Congress grew significantly since its move to the Gran Via Barcelona in 2006. The venue now spans over 220,000 square meters and comprises eight interconnected halls, making it one of Europe’s largest and most modern venues.

Like ICE and iGB Affiliate, the Mobile World Congress brings together senior executives, regulators, and tech businesses to network, make business decisions, and shape the future of the industry. The orientation visit allowed the Clarion Gaming team to gain insights into how the Mobile World Congress maximizes its venue’s spaces, creating valuable connections and opportunities for stakeholders.

The visit also provided the team with a firsthand experience of the visitor journey, including the travel infrastructure connecting the Fira Gran Via to Barcelona’s El Prat International Airport and the city center via the integrated metro station.

Clarion Gaming plans to continue organizing orientation events throughout the year to engage their stakeholder community. The upcoming ICE/iGB Affiliate event in 2025 will utilize approximately 120,000 square meters of the Gran Via Barcelona, with an additional 160,000 square meters reserved exclusively for the event over the next five years. The convention center in Hall 8 offers a flexible space that can accommodate between 3,000 and 12,000 people.
