The hottest new title in competitive gaming, Rocket League, is making waves in the gaming industry. Since its release in July, it has sold over five million digital copies and has become one of the most-watched games on Twitch. This intense final took place at the end of a Gamebattles three versus three tournament, presented by MLG. Cosmic Aftershock had an impressive winning streak, but in order to secure first place in the event, they had to defeat Kings of Urban.
The two teams evenly split the first and second games, leading to a dramatic and decisive third game.
Kings of Urban initially took a 3-0 lead, but Cosmic Aftershock battled back, tying the score with two goals from Kronovi in the final minute. However, Kings of Urban defender Kyle Masc came through in the clutch, scoring a fourth goal with no time remaining to secure the victory.
