Rogue and Rocket League pro Kronovi mutually part ways

Rogue and Kronovi Part Ways: A New Chapter Begins

Professional Rocket League player Cameron “Kronovi” Bills has officially announced his departure from Rogue. The organization confirmed the news today, marking the end of an era.

Kronovi cited clashing personalities within the team as the main reason behind their decision to part ways. He expressed that the team had reached their peak and was unable to overcome the inherent issues they faced during practice and competitions.

Prior to competing in the Rocket League Championship Series Season X Fall Major for North America, Kronovi had approached the team’s management with a request to be transferred or released if the team struggled. Despite finishing in a tie for fifth place, which could be considered a decent performance, Kronovi remained firm in his decision.

In his own words, Kronovi said, “I felt like the three of us on Rogue had hit our peak and I was tired of trudging through practice with a team that I know wanted to replace me, that couldn’t even compete with the top four.”

Kronovi expressed his gratitude towards Rogue and wished the organization the best for the future. He specifically praised the staff and stated that any player would be fortunate to work with them in the future.

The pro player highlighted that his main reason for pursuing a release was his desire to regain a positive mentality towards Rocket League. With Rogue, he had begun to dislike the idea of playing the game.

“I just wanted to feel happy about playing Rocket League because I still truly love this game and community,” Kronovi said. He acknowledged that leaving the team this split posed a risk, as most teams had already completed their tryouts before the major.

Despite the uncertainty of finding a team for the RLCS split, Kronovi remains optimistic that his decision was the right one. He also emphasized that he will not hastily form a team with free agents in order to compete. Instead, if he does not receive offers that align with his preferences, he will dedicate his time to self-improvement for the 2021 RLCS season.

The departure of Kronovi from Rogue marks the end of an era but also the beginning of a new chapter for both parties. It remains to be seen what the future holds for Kronovi and his professional esports career.
