Rocket League’s Tournaments Update is Now Accessible

Psyonix Releases Highly Anticipated Tournament Mode Update for Rocket League

Gamers can rejoice as Psyonix has finally released a brand new update for Rocket League, featuring the highly anticipated Tournament Mode. After being in beta for PC players since Feb. 21, fans can now create their own tournaments or join competitions hosted by others.

In addition to the tournament feature, Psyonix has made several other exciting changes to the game with this update.

New Options for Nintendo Switch Players

Nintendo Switch owners can now choose between different settings for gameplay. They have the option to play at 60fps with a decrease in image quality, or to play at 30fps with a resolution locked at 1080p while docked or 720p in handheld mode.

Chat Ban Feature

Rocket League is introducing a new chat ban feature to address abusive and harassing behavior. Players can now report others for using abusive language in chat during Online Matches. Offenders will be banned from speaking or typing in-game for a set period of time. If players continue to receive chat bans, they may be issued game bans instead.

Although players under a chat ban can still play the game, Psyonix will take further action if necessary to maintain a positive community environment. Alongside these new features, the update also includes new item sorting options, audio improvements to the crowd, and a brand new Battle-Car.

With these updates now live, Psyonix is already working on their next update plan. This plan will include cross-platform parties, progression updates, new arenas, additional features, and support for Xbox One X.
